① 1 red onion ② 2 tbsp olive oil ③ Preferred amount of green lentils ④ 2 or 3 cups of chopped green cabbage ⑤ 1 tbsp better than bouillon of your choice
Go! Chop and fry red onion in olive oil. Add the better than bouillon, stir, add cabbage, stir again for a minute or two, then add lentils and enough water for it to cook in, d'uh. When the lentils are soft the way you like them it's ready. Pair with plain yogurt, sprinkle dried mint and/or pepper flakes in the shape of a heart.
